She looks in character here; the background shows a “director’s” chair and some equipment. Plus, that outfit is definitely Sookie. I can’t see what the charm on her necklace is—something Christian like praying hands or an angel? 

I can’t make out the charm, either. But yes, she looks in character. I think it’s the end of season 2 scene? The white sweater and the curls in her hair seem to indicate this.

Uh, yeah, there shouldn’t be any doubt she is in character, that’s the outfit she wore coming home to Bon Temps from Dallas, and she has on a metric fuckton of stage makeup.

The necklace is a butterfly, she wears it a lot. If Sookie is wearing any jewelry, its almost always a heart or a butterfly, and she wears the same 3-4 small, simple gold pieces over and over again (along with a couple of plastic bangles). Which is a thoughtful touch, because she is poor, she probably doesn’t have a lot of good jewelry.
