The whole book is just Sookie, I mean all the books are from Sookie’s POV and in order to have the characters have real supporting storylines that take place when Sookie is not in the room, they had to real start switching things up and then borrowing aspects from future storylines for Sookie and giving them to other characters.

No, nobody should watch a show where a rape victim is forced to cuddle naked with their rapist, get fondled by their rapist, feel their rapists erection, giggle about it with their rapist, and then apologize to their rapist for forcing their naked self on them. Because that’s just unforgivable misogynistic fuckery of the highest order.

Well, yes, Lala would make a lovely bride, that we can agree on. I won’t be satisfied until I see at least ONE of those Eric dreams Lala has.

But though I think you’re better off living in ignorance, in Dead Reckoning Charlaine has Sookie running to Bill’s house to escape two assassins, strips off all her clothes (because it just happens to be raining), and crawls into his large spacious crawlspace where he sleeps, lies down naked on top of her rapist who is also naked despite all the extra space in his ‘cubby’, Bill (her rapist) gets an erection and starts fondling her (and this is all recreating the events of the Trunk Rape) and Sookie gets the giggles and apologizes for forcing herself on him, and Bill asks if it’s Christmas, because what every rapist wants under the Christmas tree is his naked, wet, scared victim trapped and at his mercy. And to put the icing on the fuckery cake, she later has Bill (the rapist) telling Eric (a rape victim) that he needs to stop drinking from Sookie because he’s taking too much. The rapist is the modicum of self-control, and has to control and guide the wild rape victim. Isn’t that some beautiful fucking imagery right there?

Oh, but Charlaine wasn’t done, that rape cake needed some win sprinkles in the form of the Sookie Stackhouse Companion book that came out not long after that, wherein there’s a ‘creative interpretation’ and glossing over of Bill’s crimes, and his stalking is excused as being ordered to stalk Sookie by the Queen or Eric, and probably some other fucking bullshit I’m blocking out.

That’s what Charlaine gave us, naked cubby tickle fights with rapists who never even had to face repercussions for all his rape, it was just chalked up to his nature and he was starving even though he raped Sookie after he fed from her, and he just couldn’t control himself even though he could control himself enough to take off his clothes and reposition Sookie to the optimal raping position.
